The Technology Department is responsible for the technical systems during renovation and new construction of our property portfolio. We are also involved in developing technical standards for the Region's properties. We are 18 employees with extensive experience in technical installations and a strong background in leading complex installation projects.

We are constantly working to improve and renew our property portfolio and have a continuous high flow of small and large projects. To carry out our new construction and renovation projects, as well as to develop and modernize our systems for medical gases in line with changing legislation, we are now looking for a Technical Specialist in Medical Gases.

The Property Area is responsible for the management, operation, and construction of Region Örebro County's properties, approximately 500,000 m2. Our main task is to care for our properties and ensure that the premises are functional and appropriate. We do this through operational and technical adjustments or by creating new premises or buildings. Our tenants are primarily healthcare operations, which entails a high technical complexity and demands on connections, functionality, and flows.

Technical Specialist in Medical Gases

As a technical specialist in medical gases, your main responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining routines for the management of the medical technology gas system.
• Coordinating and participating in local and national networks.
• Being technically knowledgeable in matters concerning medical gas systems.
• Creating and presenting a summarized report from the annual operational control of the gas facility.
• Ensuring that technical documentation for central gas systems exists and is kept up to date.
• Ensuring that follow-up of technical files and implementation of risk analyses are carried out to the applicable extent.
• Leading the work on needs analysis regarding the healthcare operations' dimensional needs for medical gas.

You have at least a university degree in a relevant field or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way, e.g., through work experience. You are accustomed to documenting your work and have good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.

You should be able to write, read, and understand technical documentation as well as routines and guidelines in the field.

It is advantageous if you have medical technology education or if you have HVAC technical education.

Knowledge or experience in areas such as the MDR directive, quality management systems, systems for medical gases, previous work in public operations, or work with technical installations, preferably in a hospital environment, is also advantageous.

Travel will occur with a pool car within the county, so you need to have a B driver's license.
